Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in Portugal for Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Portugal. This report, based on Sensor Tower data, provides insights into the weekly downloads and active users for the top five apps in this category.

Bolt: Request a Ride demonstrated a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 7.2K in late June and peaking at approximately 12.3K by the end of September. Weekly active users also showed a significant rise, from around 71K in late June to 92.3K by the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate throughout the quarter, with figures ranging from 4.8K to 7.6K. The app's weekly active users saw a gradual increase, starting at 141.2K in late June and reaching 156.1K by the end of September.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had relatively lower download numbers compared to its passenger counterpart, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 408 and 717. Active users for the driver app remained fairly stable, hovering around 8.9K to 9.4K throughout the quarter.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus saw modest download activity, with weekly downloads ranging from 275 to 543. In terms of active users, the app experienced a steady increase from 1.7K in late June to 2.2K by the end of September.

Lastly, Cabify had a consistent download rate, with weekly downloads varying between 275 and 482. The app's active users also showed a gradual increase, starting at around 2K in late June and reaching 2.5K by early September, before slightly declining to 2.2K by the end of the month.
